My name is Alex.

One of the ways I achieved this was by mastering mobile photography.

With just a smartphone in hand, I was able to capture breathtaking landscapes, vibrant street scenes, and candid moments that told powerful stories.

Mobile photography allowed me to express my creativity, connect with nature, and preserve precious memories.

It became an escape from the daily grind and a way to find joy in the present moment. Through practice and experimentation, I honed my skills and learned various techniques to enhance my photos.

And the best thing is that it doesn't require expensive equipment or extensive technical knowledge. Anyone can start with just a smartphone and a passion for storytelling through visuals.

But why should you listen to me?

Since I put travel as a priority in my life, I started a blog to prove to myself and inspire others that it was possible to travel often while having a full-time job. This led me to 45 countries across 5 continents in 5 years and experience the expat and digital nomad lifestyles.

Following that creative path led me to monetise my passion as a side hustle and work with brands such as Toyota, Oppo, Huawei and hotels to promote their brands and services online.

Why Mobile Photography?

Over the years, I noticed that using my phone was more convenient to travel with and shoot with.

Mobile phones are:

• Low key in public. Everyone owns a smartphone and it does not attract attention in public compared to a DLSR camera

• Compact. They fit right in your pocket and are ready to shoot in just a few gestures.

• Powerful. Most smartphones nowadays shoot a minimum of 12MP and have up to 3 lenses (Macro, Medium and telephoto) to provide you with a variety of angles to play with.

It took me years but I finally found a way to start taking professional-looking photos of my travels compared to the tourist photos I used to take.
